Choosing a petroleum alternative isn't because of fears around contamination, it's about (1) the environmental impact and fossil fuel industry association of petroleum-derived ingredients, and (2) the functional reality that petroleum jelly only seals, it doesn't moisturize.

Buzzeline is built around beeswax and jojoba esters as the occlusive barrier-formers, plus sunflower oil, jojoba oil, and a lightweight fatty alcohol as the emollients that soften and absorb. The combination protects the skin from external dryness and friction while replenishing what's already lost.
