About

Porosity-first curl care for medium-to-high porosity waves, curls, and coils.

4 products that work with the way your cuticle receives them, for wash day and beyond.

The whole ritual is sized for cuticles that are ready to absorb rich, larger-molecule ingredients without being weighed down.

Especially for:

  • Anyone starting fresh with Bright Body curl care and wanting the full ritual without committing to full sizes on day one
  • Medium-to-high porosity 2A to 3C waves and curls who've cobbled together a routine from five different brands and would rather have one system that's built to work together
  • Curls that need gentle cleansing, moisture-sealing, definition with softness, and a low-frizz refresh, all with a precautionary (but not fear-based) ingredient philosophy
  • Anyone who washes 1-3 times per week and wants every step of the routine in one bundle

The ritual:

Step 1: Moisturizing Shampoo. Technically a shampoo, functionally closer to a low-suds cleansing conditioner. Cleans without stripping while quinoa protein and panthenol strengthen.

Step 2: Post-Wash Herbal Lemon Rinse. A jelly-like pH-balancing rinse that closes the cuticle for shine, lifts mineral buildup from hard water, and resets the scalp with three whole herbs.

Step 3: Flaxseed & Oat Protein Curly Hair Gel. Our OG. A light-to-medium hold gel that defines waves and curls without the crispy, ramen-y cast.

Step 4: Moisture Locking Curl Refresher. The between-wash reviver that reshapes curls with minimal frizz. Recently reformulated for a creamier texture, so a little goes a very long way.

What's Included

All mini sizes: the lowest-risk way to try the full Bright Body curl care ritual.

How to Use

Wash day:

  1. Shampoo. Massage Moisturizing Shampoo into soaking wet hair and scalp, focusing on the roots. Rinse thoroughly. For a deeper clean, shampoo 2X.
  2. Rinse. Apply Post-Wash Herbal Lemon Rinse from roots to ends on sopping wet hair, finger-combing through for even distribution. Let sit 1-2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
  3. Style. Brush or comb sopping wet hair to detangle. Section into 4-6 sections, then scrunch a quarter to half-dollar-sized amount of Flaxseed & Oat Protein Curly Hair Gel into each. Use a cotton t-shirt to scrunch out excess water (terrycloth towels can increase frizz). Air dry or diffuse.

Between wash days, with the refresher: Lightly mist your curls with warm water. Pump a dime- to quarter-sized amount of Refresher into the palm of your hand and rub to evenly distribute. Finger-comb and/or palm product from the midpoint to ends of your hair. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb as needed. Air dry or diffuse as you choose.

Listen to your hair: Most medium-to-high porosity curls can stretch the time between washes significantly with this combination. If your hair starts to feel heavy, weighed down, or buildup-prone, that's the signal that it's time for a wash.
