Our OG. The first product founder Gabi made in her kitchen in 2017, and still a cult favorite all these years later.
A light-to-medium hold gel that defines waves and curls without the crispy, ramen-y cast that most curl gels leave behind.
Especially for:
Built around flaxseed gel and oat protein, both of which form a flexible film around each strand rather than a rigid coating. The result is a light-to-medium hold that moves with your hair instead of locking it in place. Shea butter and jojoba oil keep strands moisturized.
Best on 2A to 3C medium-to-high porosity waves and curls. Works equally well on twist-outs for coilier textures.
Color-safe. "Curly girl method" (CGM) compatible. Suitable for toddlers (age 2) and up; not formulated for infants. All ingredients dosed for functional hair benefits, not marketing.
Low porosity, or want a stronger hold? Try our Bamboo FlexiStrong Styling Jelly instead. (Not sure about your porosity? Here's the breakdown.)
After washing, gently brush or comb sopping wet hair to detangle. Depending on your hair's thickness and density, section your wet hair into 4-6 sections, then scrunch a quarter half-dollar-sized amount of gel into each.
If desired, finger twirl individual curls or use a curl-defining brush, after scrunching in gel. Use a cotton t-shirt (terrycloth towels can increase frizz) to scrunch out excess water.
Let air dry or diffuse.
We believe in total transparency. Below is a complete list of each and every ingredient in our formulas in their true order of concentration. To learn more about our ingredient standards, click here.
