About

Technically a shampoo. Functionally closer to a low-suds cleansing conditioner.

Built for medium-to-high porosity waves, curls, and coils that have been over-stripped by traditional shampoos and over-coated by cleansing creams.

Especially for:

  • Curls and coils that have been through a ton of curl brands and ended up either weighed down with buildup or squeaky and frizz-prone
  • Post-shampoo hair that always craves a deep conditioner or a leave-in
  • Color-treated waves, curls, and coils dealing with the dryness that comes with the territory
  • Anyone who's had to choose between clean vs. moisturized hair

The cleansing system leaves hair and scalp fresh without stripping, with light suds rather than the foamy lather that can signal harsher detergents at work.

Hydration comes from organic aloe juice and oat milk, both made in-house in small batches. Quinoa protein bonds to the open spots along the cuticle, and panthenol (vitamin B5) draws water into the hair shaft itself.

The rich, larger-molecule ingredients in this formula are sized to deposit and stay put on cuticles that are open enough to receive them, which is why so many medium-to-high porosity customers find they can skip conditioner entirely after washing with this (Not sure about your porosity? Here's the breakdown.)

Lightly scented with peppermint, eucalyptus, and rosemary essential oils. Color-safe. "Curly girl method" (CGM) compatible. Suitable for toddlers (age 2) and up; not formulated for infants. All ingredients dosed for functional hair benefits, not marketing.

How to Use

Massage into soaking wet hair and scalp, focusing on the roots. Rinse thoroughly. For a deeper clean, shampoo 2X on your wash days.

KEY FUNCTIONAL INGREDIENTS

Oats

Long-chain fatty acids coat medium-to-high porosity strands and seal moisture in.

Aloe

With an amino acid profile that mirrors keratin, it strengthens strands while adding humectant moisture.

Hydrolyzed quinoa protein

Small enough to penetrate the cuticle, strengthening weakened strands and improving color retention.

Sodium cocoyl isethionate

A coconut-derived cleansing agent that lifts oil and dirt without stripping the barrier.
